Cultivating Your Why: Discover the Heart of Your Farm
In partnership with the NDFMGA Local Foods Conference, FARRMS will host the second session of Nourishing Our Roots: Farmer Leadership for Conservation & Community. This engaging, hands-on session is all about digging deep into what truly drives you as a farmer. You’ll explore the values and principles that shape your work and learn how to clearly express what makes your farm unique.
This event will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM in Carrington at the Chieftain Conference Center. A meal will be offered. There is no charge for the Thursday evening session.

Brian’s expertise is the integration of personal resilience and leadership effectiveness, with more than 25 years of executive coaching experience. He will discuss how market members can improve their personal resilience and leadership skills.
On Saturday our keynote speaker will be Vance Corum
Vance has led seminars on market development, captured new customers with mini farmers’ markets at county fairs, developed farm tours for market managers, and done consumer research at farmers’ markets in the U.S. He is the co-author of The New Farmers’ Market.
