NDFMGA Grant Programs
We will have grants available in 2026. Grant applications will be available online April 15, 2026, and we will begin reviewing grants at that time.
Youth Vendor Grant
We have a grant program specifically designed for young entrepreneurs beginning a farmers market venture. The grant program, open to ages 10 to 18, will grant $300 for the purchase of items to assist in selling at a NDFMGA member farmers market.


Youth Gardening Grant
The Youth Group Gardening Grant program is specifically for organizations and groups that support youth activities. This can be a church, school, private, or nonprofit group that provides youth activities that involve the growing of edible items. Chosen recipients will receive $500.
Mini Grants Available
Farmers Market and Individual Members may now apply for the Mini grants. Each grant is $500 and intended to increase the visibility of the NDFMGA and encourage sales and
consumption of goods produced and sold by our members. If your market would like to purchase promotional items, do some marketing or hold an event that will bring
customers to your market - please apply!
Individual members who are organizing events or purchasing items related to 'Dakota Grown, 'It's All Good' products are eligible to apply.


New Vendor Grants
Are you new to selling at a farmers market or selling direct to the consumer? The NDFMGA has a grant program that offers grants to new vendors and sellers of 'Dakota Grown' products. If you are in your first OR second year of selling at a farmers market or direct to consumer and you are a member of the NDFMGA you may qualify for a grant. There is only one grant allowed per family or business per year.
Farm to Institution Grant
Ready to grow your business beyond the farmers market? The NDFMGA Farm to Institution grant is here to help you branch out into schools, restaurants, and grocery stores! If you’re a North Dakota member in your first or second year of institutional selling, you could receive up to $1,500. Just ensure your products are local and your membership is current. Apply by May 15th to sow the seeds for your farm’s success.


Farmers Market Development Grant
Ready to cultivate a thriving local farmers market? The NDFMGA is offering up to $2,000 to help North Dakota communities launch or improve their farmers markets! Whether you need funds for marketing, manager stipends, or vendor support, this grant is designed for you. Just ensure your membership is active and apply soon—funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Only two grants will be accepted this year!
